Windows 8 Developer Preview is available!

Well, after seeing that the Windows 8 Developer Preview was available for download from Microsoft’s MSDN, I decided to download it and check it out.  Initially I downloaded the 64-bit version, and attempted to install it as a Virtual Machine on VMWare Player.  Read the rest of this entry »


Windows Live Mail Recovery Feature… Privacy Issue?

I was just doing a big cleanup of one of my email accounts as it was starting to get a little out of control.

In doing this process, I noticed that Windows Live Mail has a “recover deleted messages” feature with the short description being “Lost a message? When you recover deleted messages, we bring back as many as we can.”  I’m assuming this has been around for a while, however it’s the first time I noticed it.

How to deal with a bully…

Since I haven’t actually used this blog in a long while, I thought it’s time for a new post. While browsing the interwebs the other day I found a number of sites making reference to the blog of Jonathon Schwartz who was the former CEO of Sun Microsystems. He seems to be using his blog to vent experiences over his career that he could not discuss while he was CEO. His latest musing, certainly got my attention (and the attention of a huge number of others). I have to say, he knows how to deal with a bully. The main bully in this case being Steve Jobs and the Apple corporation. Here is the link to his blog post for you to read.
